so basically i was thinking about Jorge aka George and how in class we said he was a guy in the past becasue of the way he writes and everything but then i was doing a little more critical thinking and i was thinking about how he always saws "Imagine" and "Just think" and it kinda made me think he was a lil futuristic guy because he always is looking to the future..does this make sense to anyone or is it just me thinking craziness...cuz why else would he say these words if he wasnt looking foward to getting to them..which would mean that he is looking foward to the future..

maybe he says imagine and stuff because he wants others to think for him, just putting that out there. but i think your thing about looking toward the future makes sense too! this IS confusing. ok, maybe george (or Jorge) is looking to the future, but in a past-like way?
Yea, i see the future thingy making sense too, but doesnt he rep the past???? Hey, but maybe he says these things as an attempt to free himself of people seeing his and relating him to the past, cuz doesnt he say that stuff more-so around Lovborg, so its like he wants to be Lovborg...which would justify his taking his manuscript!!! Ta-da! I came to my own conclusion! ..maybe.... :) lol

but i'm thinking he really can't think about the future as in realistically because that's why he keeps saying "imagen" because he can't really see it happening..does that make sense?
Jorge???? uh...well anyways i don't think he really is a futuristic man-cuz he's too indecisive for that-it's like he never knows what going on-I mean i think he is just confused and a lil slow, so i think he represents more of the past, but u may be right too
man this is soo confusing everthing that everyone is saying makes sense...lol...but Jenna i think that Jorge is looking to the future when he says imagine because y else would he say it..lol..i mean he could just say "ya know" but he doesnt which implys that he looks to the future to some extent..lol..but idk
Well, maybe Tesman is trying to be more like lovborg. Lovborg is obviously more well-suited for the professorship than Tesman because of the incredible manuscript of the future. So the man of the past is trying to be like the man of the future....but it can't work. Maybe that's why Tesman dedicates his entire life to recreating the manuscript about the future--a hard task for a man who writes about the past--and maybe it really will take a lifetime for him to do so.
