The Boycott
so i went to go see the play "The Boycott" on Thursday with Jenna and bene and basically i thought it was hilarious..it was a modern day Lysistrata with a modern issue of global warming. It was performed by one person who played a ll the characters herself..it was quite impressive..well neways i thought that it was a really interesting play because u could somewhat relate to it a lil bit more because it as about a common issue. as in Lysistrata the women make an oath to stop having sex in order to end the war peacefully and in this play the First lady of the white house starts a program called gaia in order to obtain abstinence to get out the word of global warming. The actress acted out almost that exact same scene with Myrrhine and Kenisias. It was soo funny. Although the play is supposed to be funny, it was a very good way to get out information about global warming. i learned alot about this issue while having fun which is always the best! i thought that this play was very good resembled Lysistrata very well.

How did she represent the diff characters? Like.....did she change costumes or voices or anything?
yea she changed voices and overall personality..it was pretty amazing and it wasnt hard to follow either..like i was never confused about which character she was being..its was cool
i didnt like the paly nearly as much as you did, and i felt that it was all to forced. I thoguht that it did a good job of showing the isssues, but im going to have to say that you are wrong in thinking that it was a good and funny play to watch. It was entertaining for a bit, but then it got old, for me.
psh..im not wrong just because of my opinion...but you could give ot a lil more credit than that...i mean it was funny..well maybe u just went with the wrong crowd cuz when i went everyone was crackin up!
